The girl lives with her maternal uncle and grandfather at Parigi because she lost her parents to ill- health in her childhood. She attends the government school in the Mandal.
On the day of incident, the man accused of the crime, is a painter lives at BC Colony in Parigi, come and notices that the girl is playing alone outside her home. He took her away at an isolated place, raped her and then dropped her back home. The girl’s family saw her bleeding and after talking to her realised that she has been raped and lodged a police complaint. Police registered a case under the charge of rape and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO), against the accused and he has been remanded to judicial custody. The girl has been sent for medical examination and will be given counselling.

• What kind of people are living in our society, they don’t leave the small girls?
• Why the girl’s parents feel shy to give them knowledge about the type of cases?
Government should
• Make free counselling session at the school from a very early stage to avoid such types of crimes.
• Punished the accuse instantly, so that no other can have even think about to do crime.
