Recently a husband killed his wife because he feels jealous about her popularity on social media. The incident is of Jaipur where husband Ayaj Ahmad (25) a delivery boy of a food company kills his wife Reshma Manglani (22), because he suspects her of having affairs with other men, because she spent so much time on social media. Reshma had 6,000 followers on Facebook. Her Facebook page said that she was fond of travelling.
The couple worked at a finance company where they fell in love with each other before marriage at an Arya Samaj Temple two years ago. Couple have a three years old baby. Later, her parents accepted their marriage, and got them marry according to Muslim rituals.
The couple were fond of going to parties and post pictures on social media. Ayaj started suspecting Reshma of having affairs and due to this two began fighting over it. Reshma moved to her parents’ house, after Ayaj read the messages she exchanges with others. But on Sunday 19th January 2020, Ajay went to her home to bring her back. The couple had a joyful ride on their scooty to Amer, there he strangled her before crushing her face with a heavy stone to hide her identity.
But next day, 20th January, police found the body and arrested Ayaj within few hours.Now Ayaj is under police custody.
What kind of society are we living in? The couple got married against family, but still not happy with each other. Why, because of not having faith or because of breaking the faith?
