If you knew how much time you had, would you approach your life differently?
Real talk: We’re all only given a certain amount of time to experience life…to achieve everything we dream. So why do we spend so much of our time not believing that we can achieve our dreams?
I’ve realized that life is simple: If you want your dreams bad enough and if you dedicate yourself 100 percent to them, then you’ll achieve them. It’s that easy. When you believe you can, you will. Anything is possible. Your dreams are possible. You can achieve them. You just have to believe you can.
You see, it’s all about what you believe.
You’ll find that most people won’t believe in themselves. Most people won’t try to achieve their dream. Most people won’t get back up when they get knocked down while working on their dream. They stop believing in themselves. They fail to believe in what they can. They doubt their capabilities. They lack the appetite for success. They don’t want to succeed as much as they want to breathe.
It’s hard to understand, I know. I often think to myself: How is that we can put people on the moon, yet people still fail to believe that they can accomplish anything that they dream? It doesn’t make sense.
But starting today, you will not become one of these people. You will start believing you can achieve your dreams. What happened before doesn’t matter. Your failed attempts. Lack of faith. Naysayers, doubters. All of those things don’t matter. The only thing that you need to reach your dreams is to believe in yourself. Make the conscious effort to believe in yourself, because the minute you believe that you can, you will.
Believe that you have everything within you needed to create the life you dream. Be willing to not give up and don’t stop until you succeed. Be relentless. Take personal responsibility for your dream and resolve within yourself that you can make it happen and you will. Your thoughts will lead you to making your dreams become your reality. History proves it.
To keep you believing in yourself, here are some motivating words :
“There is no passion to be found playing small–in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” ~Nelson Mandela
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.” ~Steve Jobs
“Hardships often prepares an ordinary person for an extraordinary destiny.” ~C.S. Lewis
“The most powerful motivational speeches that I have ever heard came form people who told me I couldn’t do something. Do you know why? Because when they told me I couldn’t do it, I was bound and determined to show them that I could. Tell me I can’t do it. I will prove you wrong. I will show you that you’re mistaken, because I believe (and this is real important): ‘I can’t’ will thwart you, will stop you, will slow you down, will turn you around, and cause you to move backwards if you let it. But if you have the proper mindset, ‘I can’t’ will do nothing but make you that more determined to get to your goal.”
“Life is a series of experiences, each one of which makes us bigger, even though sometimes it is hard to realize this. For the world was built to develop character, and we must learn that the setbacks and grieves which we endure help us in our marching onward.”~Henry Ford
“There is no failure except in no longer trying.” ~Chris Bradford
“What is the point of being alive if you don’t at least try to do something remarkable?” ~John Green
“Cause if you’re willing to go through all the battling you got to go through to get where you want to get, who’s got the right to stop you? I mean maybe some of you guys got something you never finished, something you really want to do, something you never said to someone, something… and you’re told no, even after you paid your dues? Who’s got the right to tell you that, who? Nobody! It’s your right to listen to your gut, it ain’t nobody’s right to say no after you earned the right to be where you want to be and do what you want to do!” ~Rocky Balboa
